Questions posed about human nature, the desire to survive through our own bloodline, yet contradicting ourselves by sacrificing our offspring etc. I saw the characters are representative of human nature rather than characters you would want to hang out with or be sad about when killed. It did have good ties to Alien, which I thought were strongest in the way that Alien explores the idea of maternity, and likewise Prometheus looks at the idea of paternity. In my view it had a good Kubrick unsettling/uncanny quality to it and was one of the most thought provoking Blockbusters I've seen in a long time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4788917543870877676.post-27730831551999569122012-06-18T00:51:51.754-04:002012-06-18T00:51:51.754-04:00Nice review. Maybe it was too much like Alien.Dan O.http://www.dtmmr.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4788917543870877676.post-68412160399849244832012-06-11T14:49:41.713-04:002012-06-11T14:49:41.713-04:00I didn't experiance any sound issue when I saw...I didn't experiance any sound issue when I saw it yesterday. I work at a theater chain...it was not your theater. I work at a theater chain and very single one of our locations had the same sound issue. it is the sound work of the film. grossly amateur for such a seasoned director. if your film can't be played in a movie theater, that is your sound mixing, not the theater's speakers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
