Doctor Who 50th Anniversary: Midnight

Doctor Who:
Midnight
By Russell T. Davies

“Just stop it, all of you. Stop it, please. Now then, Sky. Are you Sky? Is Sky still in there? Mrs Silvestry? You know exactly what I'm going to say. How are you doing that? Roast beef. Bananas. The Medusa Cascade. Bang! Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Tardis. Shamble bobble dibble dooble. Oh, Doctor, you're so handsome. Yes, I am, thank you. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O. First she repeats, then she catches up. What's the next stage?”

Well going into this episode the first time it aired I wasn’t expecting much or expecting it to be that serious considering the track record of the one who wrote it.  Well I have to tell you this story, Midnight, is one of the best Doctor Who stories to have aired since the show returned in 2005.  Well it was definitely the best one RTD has written for the show.

With that being said the acting performances were superb as you could really get a sense of the tension and strife each actor conveyed to make you believe what the character was really feeling.  Speaking of characters the character of Sky was one of the creepiest villains that the new show has produced.  Lesly Sharp did a wonderful in conveying the creepiness and adding paranoia into this story.  What was really remarkable was how she was able to say the lines at the same time as David Tennant and vice versa.  That was amazing and mind blowing at times listening to the two actors act those scenes out.  I thought it was amazing to watch and find it incredible every time I watch Midnight.
