Peter Capaldi is a Doctor Who Fan!

You might have heard already but the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi is a big fan of Doctor Who and there is proof all over the place including some fan art, some fanzine articles and a letter he wrote to the Radio Times.  Peter also was hoping to run a Doctor Who fan club.

The more I hear about this guy, the more I like him.  Especially when you have so called Doctor Who fans doing this -

I’m more than sure a few of you have been asking that question since the announcement of the actor to play the 12^th incarnation (ok, perhaps not twelve if you count Peter Cushing, and Richard E Grant, to name but a few) of our beloved Doctor. Peter has stared in many good dramas, plays and films. Just look him up on IMDB, and see what a busy life he’s led as an actor (and Oscar winning producer) plus he has stared in an earlier episode of Doctor Who and is a life long fan of the show!

Doctor Who Live: Peter Capaldi Is The 12th Doctor !!!!!!!!!

The New Doctor has been revealed and  Peter Capaldi  is the 12th Doctor and will be taking over for Matt Smith at the end of the Christmas Special this December.  The announcement was made live on the BBC, Space and BBC America on a simulcast broadcast of Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor which had former Doctors, Peter Davison and Colin Baker, and current Who for the moment Matt Smith among others being interviewed on the show.

It will be exciting what Peter Capaldi  will bring to the role as The Doctor when Series 8 comes to our screens sometime in 2014.  So good luck to  Peter Capaldi  you have a big legacy to uphold.

Starburst Is Wrong!!!! No Doctor Who Announcement Regarding New Doctor Today Says BBC

Apparently Starburst Magazine has some bad sources as the BBC debunked their story regarding the announcement of the new Doctor.  I'm sure in time we will know who the new Doctor will be and we'll get a proper announcement from the BBC.

We can confirm there is no #DoctorWho announcement planned for today.

BBC To Announce New Doctor Who Saturday??? According To Starburst They Are

 

It appears the new Doctor has already been cast and the identity will be revealed this weekend.  Starburst Magazine is running a story stating that a Sunday Newspaper is intending to scoop the BBC and announce who the new Doctor will be.  The BBC have now decided to announce the new Doctor on Saturday Evening ahead of the newspaper. 

Whether this is true or not we will have to wait and see as so far nothing official has been released by the BBC about the announcement.  Stay with us for the latest updates.
