A collector named Keith Perron and Levine have found 5 more episodes in Taiwan including "The Enemy of the World" part 6. Less than a year ago, this episode was still not in the BBC archive but a recent return of the complete story of "The Enemy of the World" makes this recent Levine find obsolete. Also found episodes 1 and 3 of "The Ambassadors of Death", "Keys of Marinus" pt. 6 and "The Krotons" pt 3.

More Doctor Who Episodes Found.... but Not Missing Ones!

Doctor Who - The Web of Fear Review

I love doing these reviews of stories I
never thought I would ever see. Hopefully there are more to come.
"The Web of Fear" is one of the most
important and talked about stories of the famed missing Doctor Who.
Not only does it feature the return of Professor Travers, the Yeti
and the Great Intelligence but it includes the debut of Lethbridge
Stewart (Nicholas Courtney). This story would act as the primary
blueprint for the U.N.I.T involvement in Doctor Who over the next
bunch of years.

The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear DVD Information
Right now this is just a guess and over the next week or so there may be more info on the extras. It is still important that these releases get support because who knows how long until an extra filled release would happen if at all. It is possible that the BBC is done with these types of extras completely, which is a shame if that is true.
The BBC Shop is selling a special version of the DVD with a slipcase cover (seen below) and a limited edition with an exclusive T-Shirt.

Found Doctor Who Episodes Selling Well on ITunes - Could Determine Future Releases
While no definitive numbers are available yet (I have not found any evidence other than a few people on forums saying things) it would appear that the initial sales of the 2 recently released classic Doctor Who stories "The Enemy of the World" and "The Web of Fear" on Itunes are doing extremely well in both the UK and US. These sales will be important in not only what any future releases might look like but if there are other lost episodes found, could help fund and get them into fans hands sooner.The rumor of more missing episodes seems to not be going away and hints of more to come are circulating. If sales from ITunes and later the DVD releases are good, it will help support future releases and may expedite the process. If anything, the ITunes sales (reports that both stories have been #1 and #2 since they have been made available in the UK) would support the idea that any future releases will also model after this one with a digital download followed by a DVD release a couple months later.

"The Enemy of the World" is out on DVD in the UK on November 25 and "The Web of Fear" will be out on February 24. No word yet on a US release of the DVD.

New York – October 10, 2013 – BBC Worldwide North America announces that a stash of BBC master tapes from the 1960s featuring missing episodes of Doctor Who has been recovered in Nigeria, Africa. The BBC has re-mastered the tapes, and is making two stories, The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear, now available exclusively on iTunes (www.itunes.com/DoctorWho).
Eleven Doctor Who episodes were discovered (nine of which have not been seen for 46 years) by Philip Morris, director of Television International Enterprises Archive, by tracking records of tape shipments made by the BBC to Africa for transmission. Morris says, “The tapes had been left gathering dust in a store room at a television relay station in Nigeria. I remember wiping the dust off the masking tape on the canisters and my heart missed a beat as I saw the words ‘Doctor Who’. When I read the story code I realized I’d found something pretty special.”
BBC Worldwide has re-mastered these episodes to restore them to the fantastic quality that audiences expect from Doctor Who. The titles are available exclusively on iTunes - www.itunes.com/DoctorWho.
The first recovered story, The Enemy of the World, is a six-episode tale which first aired on the BBC in December 1967. The story features Patrick Troughton as both the Second Doctor and his antagonist (Ramon Salamander), alongside companions Jamie (Frazer Hines) and Victoria (Deborah Watling). Episodes 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 had previously been missing from the BBC Archives, and were returned by
Morris.
Also recovered is the 1968 six-episode story, The Web of Fear. Also starring Patrick Troughton alongside Frazer Hines and Deborah Watling the story introduces Nicholas Courtney for the first time as Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart (who later returns as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart). Episodes 2-6 were feared lost, but now episodes 2, 4, 5, and 6 have been recovered. With episode 3 still missing, the restoration team has reconstructed this part of the story using a selection of the 37 images that were still available from the episode along with the original audio, which has been restored.

The hoopla of the press event is over
and after hours of a BBC imposed press embargo, the word is out –
Missing Doctor Who Episodes were found!!!
The news is that the 5 missing episodes
from “The Enemy of the World” and 4 episodes of “The Web of
Fear” were returned to the BBC. Both stories already had one
episode each and so the 6 part “The Enemy of the World” is now
complete and “The Web of Fear” is now missing only one episode.
Both stories are now available online through Itunes. No word yet on
a DVD release.
In the 70's, the BBC junked the
majority of their video taped catalog including most of the first 6
seasons of Doctor Who. Many had been returned with the work
of fan Ian Levine but over 100 were still lost, until now.
Philip Morris, Episode Hunter as some
call him is executive director of the Television International
Enterprises Archive and had been hunting for episodes for years by
tracking shipping records from the BBC when they sent films copies of
the Doctor Who episodes to foreign countries. The trail led
him to Nigeria where he found the films covered in dust. The quality
of the film was excellent.
The press conference included viewings
of one episode from each story and had Deborah Watling (Victoria) and
Fraser Hines (Jamie) in attendance.
Patrick Troughton starred as the Doctor
for both of these stories. Companions Victoria and Jamie were also
in those two stories which aired back to back with “The Enemy of
the World” ending on a cliffhanger that leads right into “The Web
of Fear.”
“The Enemy of the World” is a story
that pits the Doctor against the evil Salamander (played by Patrick
Troughton in a duel role), who looks just like the Doctor. “The
Web of Fear” is a sequel to “The Abominable Snowmen” from a few
stories earlier. Not only do the Yeti and Great Intelligence appear
in “The Web of Fear” but it is the first appearance by Lethbridge
Stewart (Nicholas Courtney).
This brings the total missing episode
count down to 97 but there may be more to come. Rumors for the past
few months have stated larger numbers but press at the press
conference event seemed to get the impression that there may be more
episodes on their way back.

Doctor Who - The Missing Episodes

One has to realize that at minimum we are dealing with just a couple of episodes or stories or that the majority of the missing episodes are back. It depends on what you hear. The numbers range from 10 to 106 episodes and like the article states, the chances that some of these are back are near impossible. Still, the main rumor was 90+ and I for one still believe that despite the fact that the article suggests that at max we are looking at around 70. This is assuming one location where these episodes were found while the rumor suggested these are coming in from multiple locations.
Most of what I have heard is hearsay but those sources have been absolutely right up to this point and if the next couple of days reveal the two stories I think they will reveal, I am inclined to still believe the 90 number.
Whatever happens I think it is a large number of episodes and Doctor Who fandom is rejoicing right now.
