'Source Code' being developed as TV series for CBS

Mystery train: Who wants to blow it up?
"Source Code," one of those rare summer movies that was a hit with both critics and audiences, is headed for the small screen.

Well, unless you have a big screen TV.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that the film, directed by Duncan Jones, is bound for CBS:
Like the film on which it is based, the action/procedural follows three former federal agents who are part of a top-secret program. Each week, they'll use "Source Code" technology to jump into the consciousness of people involved in tragic events.

The movie version starred Jake Gyllenhaal as a soldier with only eight minutes to solve a terrorist train bombing. And then another eight minutes. And another eight minutes. Thanks to the "source code," he had multiple chances - although a limited number - to travel back in time to avert the tragedy.
