Dr. Who's Steven Moffat takes a shot at angry fans

Moffat wouldn't send a Dalek after us, would he?
Steven Moffat is not happy with some Dr. Who fans - and he's letting them know it.

The Sun website reported on Saturday that the show's head writer took his grievances to Twitter on Friday:
"I'm tired of being threatened and sworn at. Behind your back is freedom of speech. To your face is an attack."

Moffat says fans who have been unhappy with his direction of  the show are taking out their anger on him through abuse via Twitter. One, he said, "wanted to beat me up."

Earlier this year, Moffat criticized fans for discussing storyline spoilers online:
"You can imagine how much I hate them. It's only fans who do this, or they call themselves fans. I wish they could go and be fans of something else."

Obviously, he doesn't mean us ... right?
