Star Wars: The Clone Wars Cancelled

Not a big surprise as Disney is taking over production of Star Wars and making it their own.  Lucasfilm will no longer be producing new seasons of the animated series for the Cartoon Network but there are plans to conclude ongoing story arcs with additional episodes.  These episodes may take the form of new content on DVD and Blu-ray releases or online material.

With this said, there may be another series in the planning stages that would cover a timeline not originally covered on Tv or film (Interesting!!).

If anything, this removal of Star Wars The Clone Wars and the cancellation of the 3-D re-releases will get fans hungry for new Star Wars content and they will be more eager for Star Wars Episode 7!

The upcoming animated comedy - Star Wars: Detours produced by Seth Green (Robot Chicken) has been put on hold for the time being.

Cartoon Network Cancels Young Justice and Green Lantern The Animated Series

In a move that wasn't all that unexpected Cartoon Network has canceled Young Justice and Green Lantern The Animated Adventures.  The fall schedule came out today and both shows were not on it.  They will be replaced by Teen Titans Go and Beware The Batman.

New Thundercats Series on Cartoon Network This Month!

For fans of the original cartoon that came out in the mid to late 80's will be happy to hear that Cartoon Network will be bringing them back this month.  it appears that Cartoon Network is in a retro mood lateley as they also brought back Voltron last month.  You can check out all the goodness at this link and check out the trailer airing now on the CN.
