Creator of many of our childhood favorites
Santa Claus is Coming to Town,
Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer,
The Little Drummer Boy and
The Year Without a Santa Claus has passed away at the age of 89. Rankin and Jules Bass were responsible for all of those stop motion specials we all watched around the Christmas season. he also worked on the animated
Frosty the Snowman and
The Last Unicorn and
Thundercats.
I stated these were our childhood favorites but really they were staples of every Christmas throughout my life and have new meaning for me personally as my 6 year old is discovering them over the past few years.
