We celebrate the Peter Capaldi era by revisiting the 12th Doctor's adventures as we count down the days to his last adventure.

It’s Christmas and everyone is gathering together with friends and family to celebrate the festive holiday either for religious beliefs or not.  But most of all a huge number of people around the world celebrate Christmas with something altogether different in mind and that would be the annual Doctor Who Christmas Special.  At the time this is the 10th year in a row that Doctor Who fans will be watching a Doctor Who episode on Christmas day and this time will be treated to the first one with Peter Capaldi as The Doctor.   Last Christmas is also boasting a unique meet up between The Doctor and a certain resident of the North Pole.  But was it good as a Christmas pudding or will it be a Scrooge and give us a humbug.

It is a week from today until Christmas and that means the 11th Doctor Who Christmas Special.  We take a look back at last years Christmas Special which was Peter Capaldi's first.

Doctor Who - Last Christmas UK Start Time Announced

The BBC have confirmed that the Doctor Who Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day at 6:15PM.  No word on a US or Canada times yet.

Doctor Who - Is Jenna Coleman Staying Now???

Hold everything. It appears that Jenna Coleman isn't ready to leave the TARDIS just yet.  Apparently an article in The Mirror (Yes I know grain of salt) is saying that Jenna Coleman has changed her mind and isn't leaving at Christmas after all but sometime in the middle of Series 9.  If true it does help the reasoning for the TARDIS set at the Experience being closed for a while which would lead you to believe for them to be reshooting the ending.  But also there has not been any official word that she was indeed leaving at Christmas either. So far it has been speculation and rumor and time will tell in less than a month is she is leaving or not.

Doctor Who - Synopsis For Last Christmas

The BBC have released a short synopsis for Last Christmas the 2014 Christmas Special. This special looks to me like its going to be a bit like The Thing the movie from the 80's not the 50's version.  Plus don't forget Santa will swoop in and save the day keeping the story festive.

“The Doctor and Clara face their Last Christmas. Trapped on an Arctic base, under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!”

The BBC have announced the title for this years Christmas Special and it is Last Christmas.  Now let the speculation begin.

This was released yesterday by the BBC as we get our first of many promo pictures for this years Christmas Special.  Here we see The Doctor giving his famous glare to Santa Clause. Cosplayers take notice it looks like The Doctor will be wearing a hood in this episode.

Doctor Who - Christmas Special Guest Stars Confirmed

The BBC have released a photo that confirms who will be guest starring in this years Christmas Special.  I'm sure the names will be familiar to you as one of them's father was The Doctor at one time.  Filming has begun on this years special which will air on December 25th (hopefully).
