The series 8 Finale titled Dark Water was the story that would reveal who Missy is and there was a lot of speculation on who she was.  Even though she ended up as The Master it was one of the three I had guessed it would be.  At the time I didn’t think Steven Moffat would go in that direction.  But he did and now we know who Missy is and that did set up a lot of speculation until we saw Death in Heaven the following week.

Doctor Who: Dark Water/Death in Heaven, the show’s two-part eighth season finale, will be presented in RealD™ 3D and Dolby Atmos sound (where available) on September 15 and 16  at 7:30 p.m. (local time). So here we have the reveal story – the one that sets in motion the finale for the season and answers some questions. What did Danny Pink do as a soldier? Why does it matter he was a soldier? Will Clara come clean to him? Will Clara leave the Doctor? Who is Missy? Is there an afterlife? Will this season end on a high note? Will the pay-off be worth it? Will Moffat come through with a great story or will he blow it?

The series 8 Finale is here and part one Dark Water was the one that would reveal who Missy is.  Oh boy did it.  I’m still getting my mind around it.  Even though who she ended up as was one of the three I had guessed it would be I just didn’t think Steven Moffat would go in that direction.  But he did and now we know who Missy is and that sets up a whole lot of speculation until we see Death in Heaven this Saturday.

The BBC have released the synopsis for the penultimate story of Series 8 which is part one for the series finale.  This episode will air November 1st on BBC One, BBC America and Space.
