An Owl's Tale, FairyBlurbs by Kneel Downe
Kneel Downe has released his sixth book and this time he conquers the world of fairy tales. Below is the press release and link to buy the book over at Lulu.
The VirulentBlurb today releases author Kneel Downe's 6th book, a book of Fairy tales, or rather, FairyBlurbs. An Owl's Tale returns the reader to a time of traveller's tales and campfire storytelling as Amelia and her companion Owl head east to begin the quest detailed in the book Amelia's Song. The tales told here stand alone and yet fit characters and stories told before and yet to come in Kneel's own unique style. They are a mix of the classical, the contemporary and the not yet invented and are as reminiscent of Carroll and Grimm as they are as new as Noon and Martin. Fairy tales and sagas that are as future proof as they are familiar.
Kneel writes like no other and constantly pushes the boundaries of what is achievable with words. With the VirulentBlurb, he has created an entire universe that ties together every project he does, no matter how unlikely the link may seem at first.
As you know, "Ladybirds are full of secrets" and this collection is a Ladybird spliced with that unique Kneel Downe twist.
With a cover and illustrations by Susan Omand, An Owl's Tale, FairyBlurbs by Kneel Downe is available in paperback on Lulu now, with a Kindle version due next weekend.

Sporadic By @KneelDowne Review
Sporadic
By Kneel Downe
The fifth book by Kneel Downe is a bit different from the last couple of books he has released. While The Jackport Killer was a straight on story set in the Virulent Blurb universe Sporadic is a collection of stories set in that same realm. What Kneel has collected here is a collection of his ideas and short stories that have helped create the universe in which he writes in. The collection is more or less his notebook of ideas that he started to write down and which have not gone anywhere or have not fitted in with the stories he has written already. Some of which are good and some of which are really good.

The Jackport Killer By @KneelDowne Review
The Jackport
Killer
By Kneel
Downe
The new book
by Twitter author, well he is more than a Twitter author now, has been out for
a month or two now and I have finally gotten around to reading it. While recovering from knee surgery I was able
to sit down, didn’t have much choice in that, and give The Jackport Killer my
undivided attention.

Books: Virulent Blurb: Reflections Review
Virulent Blurb: Reflections
By Kneel Downe
“Look little one…look…can you see into the
beyond?”
Virulent Blurb: Reflections is
the third book by Kneel Downe and the second book in as many months. Virulent Blurb: Reflections is the follow up
to last year’s Virulent Blurb: Fractures. Unlike his last book Amelia’s Song this book
is more of a traditional science fiction book that has boasts stories that are
linked in a roundabout way by a corporation called Pyramid. The stories have nothing in common except
that one word that boasts a greater mystery that unfortunately you’ll have to
wait a bit longer to find out what.
I really enjoyed this book but
mainly my favorite was story was A Breaking of Skies. It is a story that is about, well, the
breaking of the sky and the eye witness accounts of what happened on that day
in the Blubverse. To come up with all
those accounts of what happened and have them weave into a story was pretty
clever and very entertaining to read as I was engrossed to find out what
happened and the effect it had on some of the central characters in the overall
story that has taken place on Twitter.
Out of all the stories A Breaking of Skies is the best in the book and
surely is my favorite.
The Other Wolf is another
fascinating story as we meet Lobo’s brother who is also a wolf as the title implies. Instead of being of cop Lycan is a private
detective hired by the Pyramid to find something. This was a basic detective story that was
really good and entertaining even if it was short. Sometimes it is the simpler stories that work
well and after reading a collection of stories that made your mind work
overtime it was good to have a story that was simple and entertaining. Hopefully we get more stories like this in
latter collections and also another helping of Lycan and his world.
Unlike his previous book Amelia’s
Song which was more experimental and did not follow the rules Kneel gives us a
book that is more straightforward and more of the traditional science fiction
story. Reflections is a traditional
book that tells a really good story in several parts about the Virulent Blurb
Universe. It still breaks the rules of
conventional storytelling but it is also a book that has something for
everyone. If there was one fault that I
had with the book was that it was too short and it kept me wanting more when I
finished with it. I guess that isn’t a
bad thing as it makes the anticipation of the next book to be more rewarding. Virulent Blurb: Reflections is a very
entertaining read and an excellent addition to the Blurb collection.

Amelia's Song By Kneel Downe Review
Amelia’s Song
By Kneel Downe
Illustrations by Susan Omand
She met Wolf in the deep dark forest. He
wore a hat.
“Never let them domesticate you kid.” he growled.
Amelia nodded and scented a tree…
Are you looking
for something that is a little bit different and out of the norm of reality as
we know it? In the mood for a book that
isn’t in the mold of the typical science fiction and fantasy fare? If you are in the mood for something completely
different and want something that will challenge your brain then Amelia’s Song
is a book that fits the bill as it will take you to different places and
challenge the grey matter.

Kneel Downe Interview Take 2 - The Virulent Blurb: Fractures - Book Release Story
Earlier this year I interviewed Kneel Downe about his Twitter story @VirulentBlurb. Well now Virulent Blurb has morphed into book form with the first book Fractures. So today, on the release of the book, I thought it would be cool to revisit Kneel and talk about how he got Virulent Blurb to this point and what is in store for Virulent Blurb in the future. So without any further delay here is Kneel Downe talking about his first book release and his creation Virulent Blurb.
You've had quite a bit going on since we last talked to you. Tell us a bit about how The Virulent Blurb book came about?

Interview With Kneel Downe The Man Behind Virulent Blurb
Every now and again something comes along that is pretty cool and interesting. Like Virulent Blurb. Virulent Blurb is an original story that is published on Twitter. For those that don't know you have only 140 characters to get your message across on Twitter. So imagine writing a story at 140 characters at a time. Pretty cool huh. So I decided to ask the man himself all about his ongoing Twitter story @Virulentblurb and see what made him want to take on this different type of endeavour. So here he is Kneel Downe.
1. What
was the inspiration behind your Twitter story Virulent Blurb?
