Doctor Who - Sheridan Smith To Return as Lucie Miller

Even though we know the fate of Lucie Miller that doesn't mean she can't come back in a story that happens before those events. That's right Sheridan Smith will be coming back to Big Finish for a Short Trips story featuring Luci Miller and the 8th Doctor.  Those familiar with that range knows that these are narrated short stories usually around 30 minutes but it is still great for 8th Doctor fans to have another adventure with Lucie Miller.  This download only adventure will be out in April and can be purchased at the Big Finish website.  You can read more and also listen to a podcast about the return of Sheridan Smith as Lucie Miller at the link below.

Newspaper: BBC favors Sheridan Smith for 'Dr. Who'

One Smith to replace another?

I knew there was a reason I renewed my subscription to the Scunthorpe Telegram. It was for exclusives like this one.

The newspaper is reporting that actress Sheridan Smith is a front-runner to replace Matt Smith on "Dr. Who." The newspaper said unnamed BBC insiders believe "Sheridan’s popularity is at an all-time high, and there’s a strong feeling that the next Doctor should be a woman. They think she’d be perfect, and are planning to put a lot of effort into convincing her to consider the iconic role.”

If the 31-year-old actress took over the part, she would become the first female Doctor in the history of the long-running program.
