"Mad Max: Fury Road" Review: Beyond Thunderdumb

"Wait a minute. Didn't I wear something like this in 'The Dark Knight Rises'"?

Wow, the "Mad Max" reboot is dumb.

And fun. Let's not forget fun. Lots of action - crashes, special effects, things blowing up, etc. If that's what entertains you during Summer Blockbuster Season, then go see "Mad Max: Fury Road" and you won't be disappointed. You get two hours of nearly non-stop, heart-pounding, adrenalin-fueled ... dumbness.

The plot is simple. A one-armed Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) is on a mission to lead a small band of escapees from the hellish Citadel as they search for The Promised Land (called The Green Place). Along the way, she forges an uneasy alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy).

Quietly one of the biggest anticipated Sci-Fi films is starting it's promotional path to 2015.  Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron and is set to come out next year.  The film is a reboot of the franchise that starred Mel Gibson.  The photos at Entertainment Weekly look appealing enough to keep my interest.

There is a photo surfacing on the web that looks like it could be Tom Hardy in full Mad Max costume from the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road movie.  There is some skepticism on whether this is real or not but for now, here it is.

Batman - The Dark Knight Rises Review (Holy Bat Spoilers Batman)

“Not Everything. Not yet.”

Here it is the third and final installment in Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman.  The highly anticipated Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is finally here and we all have to wonder is it worth the hype.  Well that’s what I was hoping for when I went to the first showing this morning.  With my son next to me we waited with baited breath for the movie to start and to see our hero on the screen.  Would we like it?  Would it be up to par with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight? Well we had our answer after 2 hours and 44 minutes of movie viewing.
