James Bond 24 For 2015 Confirmed Plus Director Announced
The next James Bond movie, number 24 in the franchise, has been announced to be released in 2015 first in the UK on October 23rd and worldwide on November 6th. They have also announced that Skyfall director Sam Mendes will be back directing the film and the 2015 release of the film from 2014 which was originally intended was probably a smart move to keep the director on board working around his busy schedule. Bond 24 will star Daniel Craig in his 4th movie as James Bond.
Here is the official press release.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, EON Productions; Gary Barber, Chairman & CEO, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer; Michael Lynton, CEO, Sony Entertainment, Inc, and Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment today announced that Daniel Craig will once again return as the legendary British secret agent in the 24th James Bond film and Sam Mendes will also return to direct the screenplay written by John Logan. The film is set for release in UK theaters on October 23, 2015 and in US theaters on November 6, 2015.
SKYFALL(TM), the 23rd James Bond film, took in $1.1 billion worldwide and set a new mark as the highest-grossing film of all time in the UK; it was the best-selling Bond film on DVD/Blu-ray and was the most critically acclaimed film in the history of the longest-running film franchise.
Commenting on the announcement, Wilson and Broccoli said, "Following the extraordinary success of SKYFALL, we're really excited to be working once again with Daniel Craig, Sam Mendes and John Logan."
"I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time," said Mendes.
Barber added, "We are thrilled to reunite the extraordinary talents of director Sam Mendes with our star Daniel Craig for the next great Bond adventure." He added, "As evidenced by the phenomenal success of our last collaboration with EON Productions and Sony, the incredible legacy of this 51-year-old franchise continues to amaze."
Lynton and Pascal said, "It's a privilege to work on the Bond films. EON, John Logan and Sam Mendes have come up with an extraordinary follow up to SKYFALL and we, along with our partners at MGM, can't wait to share this new chapter with audiences all over the world."

Skyfall Wins At The BAFTA's Take That Oscars
Skyfall won a major award last night as the James Bond movie won Outstanding British Film. While not the big award Best Film it is indeed quite an achievement for the film. For those who do not know the BAFTAS are the British Academy Awards and the second most prestigious award behind the Oscar. So congratulations to a great film and an award well earned. Skyfall also took home a BAFTA for Original Music for Thomas Newman.

James Bond "Skyfall" Review (Some Spoilers)
It’s the 50th anniversary
of James Bond movies and the 23rd movie in the storied franchise has
now graced local movie screens. Skyfall
is Daniel Craigs’s 3rd turn as the most celebrated spy in history
and the fans have been hungry for another movie since the sub-par Quantum of
Solace. I promptly headed to one of the
many movie theaters in my area with childlike excitement for my 50th
anniversary celebration of watching Skyfall and losing myself in the world of
James Bond. Waiting with anticipation to
seeing all the stuff you expect in a Bond film and expecting a great story.
My Top 10 James Bond Films 5 -1
Well here we are. It’s the American debut of Skyfall and it’s
the reveal of My Top Ten Bond films final five.
I believe the movies I picked should all be in top ten list and these
selections are some of the best in the series so far. So without further ado here is selection five
to one.
Bond At 50: My Memories and Disappointment of 50 Years Of James Bond Movies
2012 celebrates the 50th anniversary of James Bond movies with the release of Skyfall. I am looking forward to watching this movie with all the die hard fans the Friday it is released in the US on November 9th. Which got me thinking about all the James Bond films and how amazing that this franchise has been around for 50 years. 23 films and 6 actors in the long 50 year history have been giving Bond fans tons of good memories, excitement, and of course eye rolling disappointment in that time. But for me it has always been a good time full of excitement where you can lose yourself in the film and pretend to be one of the six actors being Bond saving the day and getting the hottest girl in that particular adventure.
