According to Newsarama it is being reported that George Pere has stepped down as writer and breakdown artist for Superman. The new creative team will be writer Keith Giffen and artist/writer and long time veteran of Superman comics Dan Jurgens. This is the third creator leaving a DC New 52 book in the span of a month as JT Krul has left Green Arrow for another top secret project with DC and John Rozum stepped down as co writer for Static Shock. As a fan of George Perez I am sadden by this news as he has had health problems in the past and hopefully George Perez stepping down is for another project and nothing more.
