Doctor Who - New Guests Announced For L.I. Who 2






Long Island Doctor Who has added a slew of guests to their convention which takes place November 7 - 9.  You can buy your tickets on the website but you better act fast as they are almost sold out. The guest announcements are below in the official press release.

LI Who announces New Series Doctor Who guest Nina Toussaint-White to make her first New York convention appearance. Nina who starred in the Doctor Who Series 6 episode “Let’s Kill Hitler” as Mels/River Song. She has also been in many other British television shows such as The Bill, Primeval, EastEnders, Whitechapel, Casualty, and Switch.

LI Who Welcomes Titan Comics Artist Simon Frazer And Writer Nick Abadzis To Their First Ever Doctor Who Convention!

LI Who welcomes Titan Comics artist Simon Frazer and Writer Nick Abadzis to their first ever Doctor Who Convention.


Simon Fraser is best known to 2000 AD fans as the co-creator of Russian rogue Nikolai Dante, whose adventures have been a staple of the comic since 1997. Fraser is also the co-creator of Family in the Judge Dredd Megazine and has drawn Judge Dredd and Shimura.
His non-2000 AD work includes Lux & Alby: Sign On and Save the Universe  and Grindhouse: Prison Ship Antares for Dark Horse. Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time and Richard Matheison's HellHouse for IDW. Fraser’s creator-owned project Lilly MacKenzie and the Mines of Charbydis ran in the Judge Dredd Megazine and activatecomix.com. He is currently working on the new Titan Editons Doctor Who comic (11th Doctor) and more Lilly Mackenzie. Nick Abadzis is a British cartoonist, writer and graphic novelist of international renown who has been honored with various storytelling awards inc luding the
prestigious Eisner in 2008 for his graphic novel Laika. To date, there have been ten foreign editions. He also works as a visual facilitator, corporate scribe and editorial consultant. He’s devised various magazines and properties that have helped create lasting equity and sales for the many publishing entities and websites that he has been involved with.

As a highly experienced author of stories for both adults and children, Nick has been published in the USA by Condé Nast, Macmillan, Marvel Comics, DC/
Vertigo Comics and Tor.com, in Japan by Kodansha and Korea by Marubol Publications. His comics and illustrations have appeared in various national UK newspapers including The Times, The Guardian and The Independent on Sunday and he has been published in Europe by BBC Worldwide, Dargaud, Glénat, Doctor Who Magazine, 2000AD, Punch, David Fickling Comics and
Atrium Verlag among others. His latest book, just published (and co-authored with David Camus) is The Cigar That Fell in Love With a Pipe from Self-Made Hero/Abrams Comics Arts. He is also writing Titan Comics’ new ongoing series,
Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife and daughter.
