LI Who has added classic Doctor Who director Waris Hussein as their Guest of Honor.  Waris Hussein is the director who directed the very first Doctor Who story An Unearthly Child and the classic 1st Doctor story Marco Polo.  This is a good opportunity for the fans to come to the convention and attend his panel and learn about how the show came to fruition and what it was like making the show in the 60's.  He joins a guest list that includes Frazer Hines, Lalla Ward and Katy Manning.  You can buy your tickets at the Long Island Who website.

More Doctor Who Guests Added To LI Who Guest List

LI Who 4 have announced a couple more guests and in keeping with the 20th Anniversary of the 8th Doctor they have gotten a couple guests who have a connection with him.  First they have Yee Jee Tso who was in the Doctor Who Movie of 1996.  He played Chang Lee and he was The Masters unwitting companion.  They also got Clare Higgins who played  Ohila  in Night of the Doctor, The Magicians Apprentice and Hell Bent.  They are both scheduled to be at the convention all weekend baring work commitments.  LI Who is the weekend of November 11 - 13 2016.

LI Who Add Three More Doctor Who Guests To Their Amazing Guest List

LI Who has added three more guests this week to their great guest list.  First up they added Richard Franklin who played Captain Yates who was a main stay in the Pertwee era as a member of UNIT.

L.I. Who is happy to announce that Paul McGann and Wendy Padbury are returning to Long Island for L.I. Who 3.

Paul McGann best known to Doctor Who fans for his role as the 8th Doctor in the 1996 Doctor Who Movie as well as the stunning and surprising appearance in Night of the Doctor celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. Paul will be at L.I. Who 3 celebrating his birthday with his fans this coming November 13-15, 2015.

Paul McGann has an extensive repertoire of work including such critically acclaimed roles as Mark North in the BBC show Luther, the titular role of I in Withnail and I, and of course as The Doctor in many Big Finish Audio Productions. Other appearances include work in Empire of the Sun, Alien 3, The Horatio Hornblower series of movies, Ripper Street, and many documentaries. Mr. McGann is currently working on The Pit and the Pendulum: A Study in Torture as well as the film The Minister of Chance.

Wendy Padbury played the brilliant astrophysicist Zoe Heriot during the Second Doctor’s final season. She joined the crew of the Tardis in “Wheel in Space” and remained until the epic ten part story “Wargames”. Her on-screen chemistry with co-stars Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines endeared her to Doctor Who fans. Wendy returned to the show for the twentieth anniversary story “The Five Doctors”. Since 2003 Wendy has worked with Big Finish on over a dozen audio dramas, the latest “The ISOS Network” is out in December. She is now retired and is living in France, having previously been a theatrical agent with Nicholas Courtney, Colin Baker and Mark Strickson, all former Doctor Who actors, amongst her clients. She discovered Matt Smith at the National Youth Theatre.We are delighted to welcome this charming lady back to Long Island.

Richard is an award-winning screenwriter, working in the UK and the US. Currently he is head writer on Disney India’s new "Eena Meena Deeka", and "Captain Extraordinary” for Rushfirth Creative. He is also a staff writer on several TV shows including the BBC’s "Go Jetters" and the BAFTA award-winning "Tree Fu Tom” (starring Sophie Aldred and David Tennant). In 2014 Richard was a judge for the children¹s BAFTA awards and he has a track record in project development, recently working on Mind Candy’s "Moshi Monsters TV Series".  Richard has also written 20 books, short stories, audios and comic strips for Doctor Who. He has adapted the Sherlock Holmes stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ­including "The Hound of the Baskervilles" ­for CD release and is currently developing several TV shows of his own for production companies and networks.

LI Who is honored to announce Carole Ann Ford the Doctor’s First Companion is coming to New York for the First Time at LI Who 3. Carole portrayed the Doctor’s granddaughter Susan on Doctor Who starting with the very first episode “An Unearthly Child”. Leaving the show during the second season she has returned both onscreen during the 20th anniversary episode “The Five Doctors” and as well as a cameo during the docudrama An Adventure in Time and Space.

She has also reprised the role of Susan in two Doctor Who Unbound audio plays by Big Finish Productions.”Auld Mortality” and “A Storm of Angels”. She again returned to the role in the Big Finish dramas “An Earthly Child”,” Relative Dimensions”,” Here There Be Monsters” and “Quinnis”.

On Doctor Who Annette played Margaret Blaine (aka Blon Fel-Fotch Pasameer-Day Slitheen), initially in “Aliens of London/World War Three”, then reprising her role in an acclaimed performance in “Boom Town” later in Series One. She is current roles include Ursula in the CBBC science fiction series Wizards vs Aliens, Mrs FitzGibbons in the Starz series Outlander, and she is also on EastEnders playing Babe Smith.

Simon Fraser is best known to 2000 AD fans as the co-creator of Russian rogue Nikolai Dante, whose adventures have been a staple of the comic since 1997. Fraser is also the co-creator of Family in the Judge Dredd Megazine and has drawn Judge Dredd and Shimura.

His non-2000 AD work includes Lux & Alby: Sign On and Save the Universe  and Grindhouse: Prison Ship Antares for Dark Horse. Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time and Richard Matheison's HellHouse for IDW. Fraser’s creator-owned project Lilly MacKenzie and the Mines of Charbydis ran in the Judge Dredd Megazine and activatecomix.com. Doctor Who - Nicola Bryant Added To L.I. Who Guest List

The showrunner boasted that L.I Who 2 would be bigger and better and he was not kidding.  Added to the guest list on Monday was Sixth Doctor companion Nicola Bryant who played Peri.  She joins an already growing and impressive guest list.  Also announced was Dick Mills who was responsible for some of the classic sound effects during the classic series.
