Blakes 7 In Development At SyFy Could Return In 13 Episode Season

Well it appears that Blake 7 will be making a comeback thanks to the SyFy channel.  They will be developing a script and if SyFy likes it they will commission a 13 episode season.  The cool thing about this remake is that it is being directed by Martin Campell who directed the James Bond movie Casino Royale.  The script will be written by Joe Pokaski who was involved with Heroes.  This is truly good news for Blakes 7 fans and lets hope it goes to series.  Read the full article here.

Blake's 7 U.S. Reboot

It appears that a pilot is being developed for American television based on the original Blake's 7 TV series.  Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) will direct with Joe Pokaski (CSI, Heroes) writing.

New Blake 7 Novel From Big Finish Out In May

Fans of Blakes 7 will be happy to know that along with the new audio adventures (with original cast members just like their Dr Who range) being released next year that Big Finish will be releasing original novels.  This is pretty cool and I'm looking forward to new Blakes 7 as Big Finish's Dr Who range is top notch and really good.  Here is a description of the book from the press release which you can read at this link

My Top 10 Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Series of the Decade - 1980-1989

My top ten Sci-Fi and Fantasy shows of the 80's includes a mixture of shows, most of which I find slightly embarrassed to say I was a fan of. Still, there are some excellent entries in this decade including a fair number from the UK. 

Big Finish to Produce Blakes 7 Audio Adventures and Novels

For fans of Blakes 7 it's not a new series but at least it's something.  Big Finish Productions have secured a deal to produce original audio adventures and novels based on Terry Nations Blakes 7.  I think this is pretty good as Big Finish was the group that came out with Doctor Who audio adventures which helped soften the blow of not having Doctor Who on the air.  Big Finish has done wonderful things with their very popular Doctor Who range which I am a fan of and hopefully they can do the same for Blakes 7.
