1. Jago and Son by Nigel Fairs
With missing persons, dead bodies and a Satanist cult to deal with, both Litefoot and Jago need help. Professor Litefoot finds himself working with Jean Bazemore, an old archaeologist friend. Jago, however, finds he is assisted by someone he never even knew existed – his own son. Or is he? Can Jago be sure of anything?
But there is more to events than the detectives know. An alien menace is stirring underground. Once again, Jago and Litefoot find themselves fighting for their lives…
2. Maurice by Matthew Sweet
As he tightens his grip on Inspector Quick, the Master becomes interested in the young composer Maurice Ravel. For his part, Ravel befriends Professor Litefoot. But is anyone truly who they seem or able to control their own destiny and actions?
When Litefoot goes missing, it’s up to Jago to investigate. But the Professor finds himself in a nightmare landscape where reality and fiction seem to have merged. Will he ever manage to escape? And if the real Maurice Ravel is trapped with Litefoot, who exactly is walking the streets of London?
3. The Woman in White by Simon Barnard and Paul Morris
The great actor Henry Irving is not as great as he once was. In fact, he’s awful – a shadow of his former self. Worried that something may be terribly wrong, Irving’s assistant Bram Stoker enlists the help of an old friend – Henry Gordon Jago.
With Irving’s state deteriorating, Professor Litefoot also faces a challenge. He performs an autopsy on a man who has had all his bodily fluids drained from him. Can the detectives discover the connection between the great actor and the mysterious dehydrated corpse? And how does it relate to the Woman in White who supposedly haunts Irving’s theatre?
4. Masterpiece by Justin Richards
The Master’s plan is nearing completion – and he is sure that Jago and Litefoot will help him bring it to fruition. With Inspector Quick increasingly under the Master’s influence, the Infernal Investigators find themselves tired and fatigued, as if their very life force is being drained away...
With the help of Ellie together with stage hypnotist Madame Sosostris and her assistant Mr Nocturne, Jago and Litefoot finally track down the Master. But as they make their way towards his lair, the Time Lord's true scheme is revealed.

Doctor Who - Strax To Meet Jago and Litefoot
File this one under barf. I'm not a fan a Strax from NuWho and really do not find him funny all that much anymore. Plus I liked the Sontarans as the warlike race and not the pantomime character they have turned into. With that said Big Finish now has the rights to audio adventures with the Strax character and the first outing is teaming him up with Jago and Litefoot. You can get that two disc adventure from the Big Finish website.

Strax, the Sontaran butler to Victorian investigator Vastra and her wife Jenny, suffers a disorienting attack and mistakes the two Victorian investigators Jago & Litefoot for Jenny and Vastra and moves into Litefoot’s home. Together, they are on the trail of a creature that is stealing brains, which may or may not be linked to a haunted house in London...

The Justice of Jalxar

The Doctor and Romana have arrived in London at a time The Doctor has been before and his suspicions are satisfied when he bumps into Jago and Lightfoot. The last time The Doctor has seen them was with that nasty business with Weing – Chiang. They inform The Doctor that there is a vigilante on the loose and his brand of justice is killing the criminal. But what The Doctor discovers is that they means that the vigilante is doing this is with alien technology. So its up to The Doctor and Romana to figure out what to do about the vigilante and his alien tech before a full scale mob war ensures.
I thought The Justice of Jalxar was ok. It just did not grab me. The aspect of a vigilante taking the law in his own hands and using an alien robot would cause for an exciting story. But I did not find it that way. I found the story to be average at best and very predictable. I had no trouble figuring out what would happen at the end and that it came as no surprise was really disappointing.
What I did enjoy was the interaction between Jago and Lightfoot and The Doctor. It was like it was in The Talons of Weing – Chiang. This was the high point of this story and really made up for the mediocre story. It was really good to listen to these three act together again and they seem to have a good chemistry with Mary Tamm also. Unfortunately that is the only thing I found enjoyable about this story and hopefully the next one in the series will be better.

Doctor Who: Voyage to Venus Review
Voyage to Venus was that prototypical Doctor Who story where you have a one race of humans or aliens that are more superior than the others and suppress them or vice versa. Well think along the lines of The Silurian’s that classic story from the Pertwee era. This story was similar in vein to that but instead of reptiles it is male and female who inhabitants the planet Venus and it’s the female’s that are the dominate species on the planet.
I really enjoyed listening to Jago and Lightfoot, from Talons of Weing- Chiang, again and found them to be quite an excellent duo and pairing them up with the 6th Doctor to be very entertaining. It was interesting to get their perspective of an alien planet especially with their Victorian way of thinking and how they adapted to the different situations. But really the true highlight was how the three main characters interacted with each other.
The story for the most part was entertaining even though it was predictable. You knew how it was going to turn out except you didn’t know the path they took to get to that conclusion. Which on a whole was the fun part and a nice enjoyable romp through the jungles of Venus. Looking forward to listening to the next adventure for Jago, Lightfoot and The 6Th Doctor in Voyage to the New World.
