Sherlock Series 2 North American Blu Ray/DVD Release Date

For fans of Sherlock here in the USA you will be able to get the series 2 Blu Ray or DVD on May 22.  A few days after Series 2 finishes up on PBS.  Can't wait bring on May.

When Sherlock Holmes is mentioned a few things come to mind.  Like Dr. Watson, World Famous Detective, Prof. Moriarty and of course The Hound of the Baskervilles. Well now the brilliant updated Sherlock tackles what is probably the most read and adapted for TV or Movies.  Since the Hound of the Baskervilles is the most famous Sherlock Holmes story does this new updated version cut the mustard per say?

Sherlock Series UK Start Date & DVD Release Announced

The date for Sherlock is gonna be back pretty soon in fact the first of the year according to a tweet by Steven Moffat.

Sherlock returns, Sunday,Jan 1st, 8.10pm, BBC1. First the woman, then the Hound and then, of course, the fall...

And his wife Sue Vertue tweeted about the DVD/Blu release

We did the commentary for #sherlock series 2 dvd last night and we have Dvd release date in the UK of 23 January

Sounds good for Sherlock fans as the new year will start off pretty good. So once you fight off that New Years Eve hangovers then you can veg out to Sherlock series two. So on with the trailer for series two.

A new crop of promotional photos for the next series of Sherlock have been released.  Can't wait to see the new series as the first was really good and breathed some new life in the old detective.  Unlike that sham of a movie being released this month.

Bummer!!!! Sherlock Series 2 Delayed Until 2012

For fans of the really amazing modern day take of Sherlock Holmes will now have to wait till 2012 to see the resolution of series one's cliffhanger.  Sherlock series two was suppose to air during the fall but it appears to not be done filming in time to air this fall.  My guess the delay is due to Martin Freeman being busy filming the Hobbit.  Like I said just a guess.

Say Hello To Sherlock's Irene Adler

Former Robin Hood and season 10 of Spooks star Lara Pulver will be playing Irene Adler in Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss second series of Sherlock.  For those that don't know Irene Adler is one of the few that have outwitted Sherlock Holmes.  You can read the tale in A Scandal in Bohemia or if you prefer you can watch the Jeremy Brett version on DVD.

Sherlock Series Two Episode Titles Revealed

I found this tidbit over at Den of Geek.  The article goes on to say that Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss says the fans should expect to see these adventures: A Scandal in Belgravia, The Hounds of the Baskerville and The Reichenbach Fall.  True Holmes fans might have an inkling of what might happen in that last title.  I can't wait to see these when they air later in the year.
