The Avengers - The best summer movie is Assembled
First thing I must say about The Avengers is this: you're going to want to see it a second time. There are so many great scenes followed by good dialogue but audience reactions results in you missing some of it. Since I am big on dialogue, I plan to wait a week or two before seeing it a second time. Joss Whedon does a wonderful job of balancing each of the character's airtime. I never got the feeling that one character took precedent over the others. A hard job to do, especially with that many strong personalities.
Even though there have been two "Hulk" movies made in the last decade, neither of which impressed me, I'd like to see one with Mark Ruffalo playing Dr. Bruce Banner. As a fan of the original series, Bill Bixby has remained Dr. Banner in my mind. After seeing Ruffalo's portrayal, that could changed if the Hulk movie is well written and with him in the lead role. The big, green guy is the focus but we tend to forget about the man underneath. That is one option for a spin-off movie, another is to tell the back story between Hawkeye and Natasha Romanoff.
I'll assume that any person planning to see this movie has seen the others that tie all these characters together. If not, then I strongly suggest it. Of course, Tony Stark/Ironman, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Demi-Gods Loki and Thor are just as good as they were in their previous films. It's a treat seeing them all interact but the "Other Guy" really gives a good performance. Overall, I give this film a high rating, even though there is one part that I do not like at all. I'll let you figure that one out for yourself.
One last thing, there are two bonus scenes after the movie. One is after the main ending credits and the other at the end of the final credits, so stay for both.
Now, suit up!

The Avengers Review (Spoilers)
What more can be said about The
Avengers movie than what has already been said. The movie is the
new definition of 'a fun movie.' It is a superhero movie that puts
together 4 franchises and does a perfect balancing act not only among
the characters involved but also with action, humor and drama. I
credit all the previous movies; The Incredible Hulk, Iron
Man, Thor and Captain America for capturing the
characters to the extent as they had up to this point. I know
something of these characters from my time reading comics but my
Marvel knowledge is limited. Most of what I have experienced with
these characters was through their perspective movies. The
Avengers takes these excellent characters and mixes them together
with a perfect amount of Shield, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Loki to
produce a creation that tastes as good if not better than any of the
stand alone movies. It would seem difficult to do this but it was
done to such a high standard that at no point was I sick of any
character and I even find myself wanting to see more of them together
in a film. I would even say that seeing any of these characters
alone in a movie again will seem like a let down after seeing them
all work together.

All The Daleks To Return In Doctor Who Series 7
The countdown to the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who is starting off with quite a bang. Series 7 is boasting yet the biggest Dalek story ever. One that features all of the Daleks from the past 49 years of the shows history. Pretty cool. Here is a quote from the Moff himself.
"We're going to have the most Daleks we've had on screen ever – but they will be from every era, quite deliberately. We're calling them in from everywhere! All of them! Even the Special Weapons Dalek. They'll all be there…"How cool is that. Even the Special Weapons Dalek last seen in the Sylvester McCoy season 25 story The Rememberance of the Daleks.

'Avengers' review - assemble at once at your nearest theater
![]() |
| The Avengers finally are on their way to a theater near you - and worth the wait. |
Such great moments as:
![]() |
| Me? Trouble? |
Loki: I have an army.
Tony Stark: We have a Hulk.
The movie is even better - much better.
Action? Of course.
Comedy? Some of it quite unexpected and laugh-out-loud funny. Even the Hulk gets a good line at Loki's expense.
And death. Yes, someone dies.
