Taking information that has been coming from San Diego Comic Con, we have some highlights including...

Batman v Superman Trailer - 

Ok, I am now officially interested. Parts of it still don't look right but they are at least addressing the whole Superman allowing a whole city to be destroyed and taking part in it idea. I don't think I will be 100% comfortable with it until I see the movie but this has relaxed my fears a bit.

Suicide Squad Trailer -

WOW - this looks good.  I am probably more interested in this than Batman Vs. Superman and it looks like Margot Robbie is going to steal the show as Harley Quinn.

This imaginary battle is heating up both on TV and in movies. While DC has been sluggish in getting going, Marvel is hitting the target with The Avengers: Age of Ultron. DC is fairing better on TV but Marvel is gaining some momentum.

Cobie Smulders Maria Hill Joins Agents of Shield #SDCC

Marvel announced today at San Diego Comic Con that Cobie Smulders will be reprising her role as Maria Hill for Agents of Shield.  She will be appearing in the first episode with other appearances scattered through out the season.  

Here's what Joss Whedon had to say:

“I wanted very much to have Cobie in the pilot because as much as anyone else, she IS SHIELD. She’s cool and commanding, and has the dry humor that plays so well with Clark’s. Also, if she’s in it I get to hang out with Cobie.”

I am currently watching too many series and all of them (apart from Fringe) have been renewed. Now there are potentially a bunch more sci-fi and fantasy series making their way to U.S. Television. This does not include any new cable shows nor online projects nor foreign series.

Agents of Shield Teaser

Agents of SHIELD - A new ABC Series

Agents of SHIELD will be a series to air on ABC this fall. Joss Whedon wrote and directed the pilot episode.  The series will follow the adventures of SHIELD and Agent Phil Coulson (Brett Dalton).  Some may remember that Agent Coulson died in The Avengers movie.  He will be resurrected for the series and potentially upcoming Marvel films.  Also starring is Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet and Iain De Caestecker. No word on if the series will air starting this fall or be a mid season replacement.

A promo will air during Once Upon A Time's season finale this Sunday 5/12.
