The TV season is back in full force but are the super hero shows any good? We have more shake up news for Marvel and take a look at two documentaries about super hero movies that were never released and one that was never made.

Television - I have to admit that most of my excitement toward Marvel right now is in the form of their Netflix TV series. Jessica Jones is teasing us and I can't wait and now Daredevil will begin to get us thinking about that show... and I can't wait. With the Marvel Netflix Universe doing an excellent job establishing itself, I like the report that there may be a plan down the line to crossover into the other Marvel TV Universe with Agents of SHIELD. As long as they don't do it too often, I like this idea.

Marvel Vs. DC - Daredevil, Deadpool, 2015-2016 TV Season, and the not so Fantastic Four

With the next TV season almost upon us we see a lot of exciting match-ups in this ongoing and fun battle between Marvel and DC.  The tides seem to be slightly changing due to a horrible outing by Fantastic Four but until Deadpool and Batman Vs Superman come out next year, all we really have is what is on TV and that is certainly exciting.  This time around I also look at what I think are the most important events for either side in the following year or so.

With The Avengers: Age of Ultron topping 1 billion in the box office, what do we think is going to happen next year with Captain America: Civil War? And has marvel found it's Spider-Man?

This imaginary battle is heating up both on TV and in movies. While DC has been sluggish in getting going, Marvel is hitting the target with The Avengers: Age of Ultron. DC is fairing better on TV but Marvel is gaining some momentum.

Read more about Gotham, Flash, Arrow, Suicide Squad, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman vs. Superman and Agents of SHIELD.  We also see that Marvel is not perfect.

Bloody 'Daredevil:' A Dark Knight for the Marvel Universe

"Does this hurt? I hope so."

Let's set some simple ground rules for this review of the new "Daredevil" series on Netflix. As you probably know, "Daredevil" is the first step being taken by Netflix to create its own little corner of the Marvel universe. More series with more characters are part of the plan. And, "Avengers"-like, they will become a team. We don't care about any of that. Not yet, anyway, because none of it is going to happen unless "Daredevil" makes us care about the downtrodden residents of New York's Hell's Kitchen.

Mission accomplished, Marvel.

Based on the first two episodes (Netflix has released 13 for streaming), "Daredevil" easily stands on its own as an outstanding superhero crime series, thanks largely to star Charlie Cox. "Superhero" is used loosely because he possesses none of the usual comic book powers (strength, flying, speed). When young Matt Murdock is blinded in an accident, he gains heightened senses that make him keenly aware of his surroundings. By night, Murdock becomes a masked vigilante. By day, he and Foggy Nelson (portrayed by Elden Hanson) are partners in a small law firm struggling to make ends meet.

Daredevil enters the battle swinging – Marvel's Daredevil was released on Netflix on Friday April 10 and I have to say – what a shame. What a shame that this show is not on a prime network. I managed to catch the first episode and it is excellent. Taking place in the same Avengers Universe, Daredevil manages to remind us that it is part of that same universe in a very subtle way. There is no name dropping in this series. The main characters don't know the Avengers. This small scope series centers on Matt Murdock, who is taking justice in his own hands as Daredevil. He is a well trained fighter who happens to be blind but has heightened senses.

The opening episode has a great story and pace with incredible visuals (I love the color scheme). This series, all 13 episodes are available on Netflix now, from what I can tell, is as good as any of the other Marvel series and that is excellent.

Marvel vs. DC - March 2015 Edition - Supergirl Appears and The Avengers Gear up for Ultron

A relatively slow period before The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits the big screens in a couple of months.  I can't imagine that a new trailer would make me want to see this movie more than before.

Marvel Vs. DC -The Television Battleground - Update

Forget the movies. That particular battle between DC and Marvel doesn't really get interesting until next year. Right now the battle is on television and while they are not really going against each other head to head, it is still interesting to see how both sides are amping up their game with their current and future series. There is so much going on right now and I am not even dealing with the animated series.

Marvel's Daredevil from Netflix Revealed

Word has it that the traditional red costume will probably make a debut later in the series.  Below is Matt Murdock. Series begins in May 2015.

Marvel Cast Its Daredevil and It's Charlie Cox

Marvel has cast Charlie Cox to play Daredevil for the 13 episode Netflix series.  The show which announced it will be filming in New York City in July made the announcement today.  Charlie Cox will be playing blind lawyer Matt Murdoch who gained his heightened ability to see using Radar sense from an accident in his childhood.

Daredevil is the first of five Netflix series with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders coming later on.  This is pretty cool as Marvel has upped the anty on DC as producing shows for streaming is the way to go.  For the full press release you can head to the Marvel website at the link below.

Comic Books - Mark Waid Relaunches Daredevil For Marvel Now

With the news of the regular series ending with Febuary's issue 36 fans were sadden that the popular writer Mark Waid's run had finished.  Now that is not true as in true to Marvel form they have decided to reboot the series and give us yet another number 1 which comes out in March as part of the Marvel Now imprint.  Gotta love Marvel Comics and relaunching their titles every year. The new series will move Daredevil from New York City to San Fransisco.  I liked the original run by Mark Waid and am looking forward to reading the continuation of his run even if it is a relaunch.
