Torchwood: Miracle Day To Air On BBC America Starting September 14

BBC America will be airing Torchwood: Miracle Day as part of their Supernatural Saturday beginning September 14 at 9PM.  This 10 part series originally aired on Starz back in 2011.  Miracle Day will follow a Torchwood Marathon which starts on Friday September 13th at 11PM with Torchwood Series 2 and Children of Earth.

Torchwood Miracle Day DVD/Blu Ray North America Release Now Is April 3

As with most thing the original release of March is not happening as Torchwood: Miracle Day will now be released on DVD and Blu Ray on April 3.  Here is what you can expect for extras with the set.

Torchwood: Miracle Day North America DVD Release Date Announced

The long awaited North American release date for Torchwood: Miracle Day has been announced and the date is March 13.  So head on over to Amazon and pre order the show that I picked as the best show of 2011.

Gay sex?

That was moral inconsistency noted by John Barrowman, who was responding to viewer complaints about the gay sex scenes in "Miracle Day." First, the actor who played Captain Jack Harkness noted that every episode in the series began with a warning about the graphic nature of the program. "So if you allow your children to sit and watch it with you that's your responsibility, not ours any more," he told Metro UK.

'Torchwood: Miracle Day" - a Spoiler-Free Review of the Finale

Instead, you get tantalizing tidbits like this. 

As an hour-long rollercoaster ride, there’s a lot to commend The Blood Line for. You’re certainly not going to be bored for the duration of its running time, just that you might just be a bit frustrated, if anything. That said, there’s space for every character arc to get some solid work, and lots of people get a bit of a rough ride this time around.

Waiting for 'Torchwood: Miracle Day' to hit Netflix? Don't hold your breath

Lights! Camera! But no action on Netflix.

I know plenty of people who wait for a TV series to be added to the Netflix library before watching it. They have lots of reasons, including that they don't want to pay for premium channels or expanded cable. as well as the convenience of watching the entire run without week-long waits for each new episode.

If that's your plan for "Torchwood: Miracle Day," you're likely going to need a Plan B. Writing on the Airlock Alpha website, Michael Hinman reports Starz, which is airing "Torchwood," is about to walk away from its contract with Netflix.

The reason? Money, of course.

The New York Times Weighs in on 'Torchwood' and 'the True Awfulness of Immortality'
