Star Trek Into Darkness Voted Worst Star Trek Movie Ever!!!

Digital Spy has an article up that is pretty interesting.  Apparently at the big Star Trek Convention this past weekend in Las Vegas there was a panel called 'One Trek Mind' where they voted on the best and worst Star Trek Movies of all time.  Not surprising that Wrath of Khan and First Contact where the top two movies but what was strange was that Into Darkness was booed heavily and easily won the worst movie vote. 

I actually liked Into Darkness even though the more I think about the movie the more I find wrong with it but it was a pretty entertaining movie.  I still think that it is way better than the the movies I find to be the worst in the franchise like Star Trek 5, Nemesis, Insurrection and The Motion Picture.  But still Star Trek fans are the most loyal and often the most intense so this poll result does not surprise me.

The long wait is over. The long speculated and often over analyzed about a certain character has finally been resolved and now Star Trek Into Darkness has graced the screens in North American cinemas.  This has been a movie I have been anxiously been waiting to see ever since Into Darkness started filming and the supporting cast was announced.  So now the day has come and I have seen one of the eagerly anticipated movies of 2013 full of excitement and intrigued as to what I was about to see.  So read on if you want to know my opinion on the latest installment to the J.J Abrams Star Trek series and of course do not read the review if you haven’t seen the movie yet as there will be spoilers.  Unless of course you don’t care about that but if you do go now and run away.

The second movie is a marvelous, excitingly energetic, balm to both Star Trek fans and general movie-goers. J.J. Abrams got that right. This time he takes the Enterprise crew (and perhaps the viewing audience as well) into darkness at many levels. They learn something about their beloved Federation. They learn something about facing grave loss. They learn something about the darkness of complete and utter vengeance.  Viewers may also ponder about what kinds of choices they may ever make, whether or not those choices lead them into darkness.

The long wait and fever pitch that we Trekkies and geeks all over the world have been waiting for is finally here. Well some of us are luckier than others as they have already seen the film but for us in North America our wait is almost over.   So to get us in the mood for the movie IDW released a four issue series with a story in the new J.J Abrams universe written by the guys responsible for the new film Into Darkness. 

IDW did this before when the first Star Trek movie by Abrams came out with a story about how Spock got sent to the past from his future when Romulus exploded. That four issue comic book series really set up that movie pretty well and really got me in the mood for that movie.  So now we have this new series and I have to say it got me rally psyched for the new movie as it dealt with the new crew on an adventure set before the Into Darkness movie.

I liked the first poster they came out with. I really did as I thought it looked pretty cool and really gave a feeling what the movie was about.  Now we have this new one and I like this one also as it really looks good and I can't wait for May.

What I'm Looking Forward To In 2013

2012 was an amazing year for movies and TV that there was so much to see and experience for all the geeks out there. Not to mention in the world of comic books also as Spider – Man celebrate his 50th anniversary and boy was it a shocking celebration.   So now we Bid Adieu to 2012 and hello to 2013 and to all the cool things that geeks cannot wait to see.  So here is what I am anxiously looking forward to seeing.
