1. House of Silents

There is no record of the presence of an alien species known as ‘The Silents’ on Earth. UNIT has never engaged hostiles capable of editing themselves from observers’ memories.

There is no evidence that such an opponent, if real, is regrouping and beginning a new plan of infiltration and manipulation.

Kate Stewart and her team are in no mortal danger. How can they be, when they don’t even know the enemy exists?

2. Square One

It’s business as usual at UNIT, and thankfully, Kate Stewart has no immediate threats to concern her. Or so she believes.

But when Sam Bishop returns from leave, he notices things aren’t quite as they seem. Soon he and Osgood are on the trail of an elusive enemy.

Meanwhile, Kenneth LeBlanc and his controversial political movement gather momentum, and one UNIT team member isn’t quite themselves...

3. Silent Majority

Kenneth LeBlanc looks set to lead his party to national victory, overturning political opinion and taking the polls by storm. UNIT can only stand and watch as a silent revolution takes place.

But who are LeBlanc’s real backers? And what use to them is the triumph of a leader who seems to be nothing more than a liability?

4. In Memory Alone

When Sam Bishop and Osgood visit an orbiting space station for a routine mission, they have no idea that they are part of an alien scheme, years in the planning.

Doctor Who - Big Finish News On Torchwood and The War Doctor

Last weekend was Big Finish Day 8 and at their convention they released some Doctor Who and Torchwood audio adventures news.  First the big news that The War Doctor will be meeting Leela in the 4th War Doctor Box Set which will be out in February of 2017.  If you have ever wondered what happened to Leela during the Time War then this volume of The War Doctor adventures is the one you've been waiting for.

For fans of Torchwood when the first series of audios ends in February the second series will start up in March with a John Barrowman Captain Jack adventure taking place in Victorian times.  But the big news is that Naoko Mori will return as Tosh in April.  This is good news for Torchwood fans as almost everyone of the original cast has returned.  Now all we need is Burn Gorman to come back as Owen.

For fans of the new UNIT adventures by Big Finish it was announced at Big Finish day that the second box set will come out in May and they have released the cover art for it.  It stars Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart and Ingrid Oliver as Osgood and this time they are going up against a new alien race set on invading Earth. The Tengobushi is the name of the new alien race and you can get a look at them on the cover. UNIT: Shutdown will be out in May and will be a four disc box set.

The Zygon Inversion continues with the Zygon rebellion as we find out how The Doctor escapes from his plane being blown up by an air to ground missile and what evil Clara really is up to.  I have to say I wasn’t expecting the solution to plane destruction. Well not the jumping out of the plane with parachutes but the fact that Clara was able to manipulate Bonnie and make her miss with the first missile but was not successful stopping the second which gave The Doctor and Osgood the chance to escape.  Now this was an interesting turn of events and made the story a lot more interesting as we had the two Clara’s going back and forth with a mental struggle.  I enjoyed the banter between Bonnie and Clara and I am really enjoying watching Jenna Coleman playing a villain also as it really added to the tension that this story was conveying.

If you haven’t guessed by now The Zygon’s are back and I am really happy for their return.  Since the 1975 Tom Baker story Terror of the Zygons I have always wanted to see The Zygons return and after they appeared in The Day of the Doctor I had a feeling we would see them again as they would want to use those expensive costumes again.  What I didn’t expect and what has turned out to be a pretty good idea is that The Zygon Invasion is a loosely based sequel to the 50th Anniversary story as it builds upon the peace treaty between The Zygons and the humans.

Doctor Who - Full Team Including Osgood Announced For Big Finish UNIT Series

Big Finish have released the info on the team members that will be joining Kate Stewart played by Jemma Redgrave in the upcoming UNIT Series for Big Finish.  The first story Extinction will be out this November and there will be one familiar face or rather voice as Ingrid Oliver has been added as Osgood.  Also joining them will be new characters Lieutenant Sam Bishop played by Warren Brown,
Captain Josh Carter played by James Joyce and Colonel Shindi played by Ramon Tikaram.

Doctor Who - Kate Stewart To Return In Episode 7 and 8 of Series 9

The BBC have released a video of Jemma Redgrave at the read through for epiosdes seven and eight of Series Nine.  No word yet on the writer or title of the episodes but I'm sure we will find out that information soon enough. Seems like Kate Stewart will be having a major role in Series Nine as she is in the series two part opener also. Below is the video of Jemma Redgrave in Cardiff.

Jemma Redgrave Returns As Kate Stewart For The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special

 

The BBC Official Doctor Who website has announced that Jemma Redgrave will return as Kate Stewart the daughter of Brigadier Lethbridge - Stewart  for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special.  She was last seen in The Power of Three which aired last September and makes up Series 7A.  You can read the full announcement here.
