The Doctor and Jo arrive on the planet Far. The Doctor wants to attend the grand opening of one of the human race’s greatest achievements. A huge Hyper Gateway built to make travel around Earth’s great empire more convenient, bringing relief to many starving outer colonies.

But they land in the wrong time period, long after the Gateway has been in service, and the Daleks have conquered Far! It’s the middle of a war and a deadly game is underway. When everyone has an agenda, betrayal can happen at any time, from any side. The endgame is approaching and maybe this time no one will survive.

During a North Sea military exercise, the crew of the destroyer HMS Nemesis detect what they suspect is a submarine following them. But it’s actually a futuristic ship with an alien occupant, Arianda.

The Doctor and UNIT are called in, but things are already running out of control. The damaged craft is leaking particles and contaminating the Nemesis with time disruption.

But that’s not the biggest problem. For Arianda is being followed by the warships of the Horofax, who have picked precisely this moment to invade. Soon the destruction of humanity’s future will begin.

With Missy/ The Master returning we thought it would be good to take a look back at a few of the classic series stories that feature The Master.

There is a new threat for The Doctor.  The renegade Time Lord The Master has made his way to Earth to cause havoc and to take it over.  This time his allies are the Nestene and their plastic servants the Autons. In exchange for the power he craves The Master helps to hatch the Nestenes plan to take over Earth.  The Master has taken up residency in the plastics factory owned by the Farrel family.   The Doctor is warned about the Master coming to Earth by a pompous Time Lord who says The Master is not the same push over as before.

UNIT headquarters is being evacuated and Jo is shocked to find that most of her friends are gone already.  This was all sudden and she is very suspicious of the British army officers that are in charge of evacuating UNIT and starts to investigate what is really going on.  This obviously gets Jo in trouble and she is soon captured by the aliens posing as British officers.  Their true motive has to do with The Doctor and Jo doesn’t know where he is at the moment.  Then they hear the familiar sounds of the TARDIS returning but what they see is something else entirely.  The 7th Doctor has arrived and Jo isn’t all that sure of this version of The Doctor and is forced to trust him to save the Earth and hopes he can return her Doctor to them.

Doctor Who - LI Who 3 Announces Katy Manning As Their First Guest!!!

LI Who has announced its first guest for its 2015 show and to stick with the theme of it being the third convention from LI Who they went with the Third Doctor's main companion Katy Manning. The Third Doctor and Jo are embroiled in a pretty strange predicament.  It appears that The Master has called for aid from one of his future selves to help get him out of prison.  But unknown to The Master it did not work out the way he thought it would.   What The Doctor discovers is that something has gone wrong with The Masters timeline and that a future Master is not coming to save him but instead it appears he is being erased from time.  The Doctor has to keep reminding The Brigadier, Captain Yates and Sgt Benton about The Master by giving them a paper with his face on it to remind them who he is.  But that is not all.  The Sild have arrived on Earth and due to The Masters meddling with time used that signal to come to Earth and proceed to invade.  To save the Earth The Doctor must go to the future and with another unsettling alliance with The Master must find the source of the Sild and shut it down to save The Master and the Earth.
