Doctor Who - 9th Doctor Issue 5 Preview and Covers
Out today is the 5th issue of the ongoing 9th Doctor comic book series. We see the story continue as things are not what they seem in Seattle. You can pick this up at your local comic book store.

Doctor Who - Celebrating 10 Years of NuWho: The Christmas Invasion Review
Finishing up our 10 year anniversary with The Christmas Invasion. Last week we said goodbye to Christopher Eccleston and this week we say hello to David Tennant.

“Here we are then, London. Earth. The Solar System. We did it. Jackie. Mickey. Blimey! No, no, no, no, hold on. Wait there. I've got something to say. There was something I had to tell you, something important. What was it? No, hold on, hold on. Hold on, shush, shush, shush, shush. Oh, I know! Merry Christmas!”
The TARDIS literally falls from the sky and crash lands next to Jackie and Mickey. Out through the doors appears a confused and somewhat disorientated man. The man wishes them a Merry Christmas and promptly faints. Rose exits the TARDIS and tells them that this man indeed the Doctor, a recently regenerated Doctor. After putting The Doctor to bed and making sure both his heartbeats are all right Rose and Mickey go to town and do some Christmas shopping. Their presence is soon discovered and they are set to be attacked by four killer Santa’s. The Santa’s use their musical instruments to cause distruction to the shopping area and Mickey and Rose make a close escape. As soon as they get back to Jackie’s apartment Rose is astonished to see a new Christmas tree. Not as astonished as she is when the tree suddenly comes alive and tries to kill them. Rose is able to get The Doctor awake just in a nick of time as he uses his sonic screw driver to destroy it and they discover there is a bigger threat before The Doctor slips back into a coma.

Bad Wolf/ The Parting of the Ways

“I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself. I take the words, I scatter them in time and space. A message to lead myself here.”
The Doctor, Rose and Jack have been taken off the TARDIS by a teleport and dropped into familiar game shows of the past that are now housed on Satellite 5. The Doctor is concerned that something isn’t what it seems especially if whoever it is is powerful enough to teleport them from inside the TARDIS. The Doctor and Jack both escape their games but Rose is in trouble on The Weakest Link game and is in danger of being disintegrated. Unfortunately they are too late and the Anndroid does the deed and Rose is dead.
The Doctor and Jack make their way to level 500 and Jack discovers the TARDIS in one of the archive rooms. He also makes another discovery. Rose isn’t dead in fact she has been teleported somewhere else. The Doctor tries and figures out what is going on by talking to the controller. What he discovers brings terror to him and to Jack. Rose is on a Dalek ship and there appears to be an armada of them. The Doctor must save Rose and defeat the Dalek invasion force even if it costs him his Ninth incarnation.

The Doctor, Rose Jack and Mickey are enjoying a quiet time out in Cardiff while waiting for the TARDIS to refuel at the rift. Everything is going good until The Doctor notices the front page of the local newspaper. To his dismay he sees the face of a familiar foe thought to be dead when Downing Street exploded from a missile. Margaret the Slitheen is alive and to make matters worse she is the mayor of Cardiff.
So the four travelers head out to find Margaret and to stop her from building a nuclear power plant that would fail and blow up the city to allow her to escape using an extrapolator. But the thing is once they have her they need to wait before they take her back to Raxacoricofallapatorius they have to wait for the TARDIS to finish refueling and in that time anything could happen to allow Margaret to escape.

They do what they're programmed to do. They patch it up. Can't tell what's gasmask and what's skull, but they do their best. Then off they fly, off they go, work to be done. Because, you see, now they think they know what people should look like, and it's time to fix all the rest. And they won't ever stop. They won't ever, ever stop. The entire human race is going to be torn down and rebuilt in the form of one terrified child looking for its mother, and nothing in the world can stop it!”
The Doctor and Rose are chasing a metal cylinder through the time vortex. It is a high priority and The Doctor uses the TARDIS computers to lock in on it and follows it to Earth. They land in London in the year 1941 during the height of German bombing blitz. The problem is it will be difficult for The Doctor and Rose to find the cylinder as it is war time and the army is guarding it. Rose wanders off and ends up getting caught hanging onto the rope of a barrage balloon as she was trying to help a kid on a roof wearing a gas mask. She is soon rescued by the mysterious Captain Jack Harkness who knows where the cylinder is and wants to sell it for profit and wants to make a deal with Rose and The Doctor.

“I did it again. I picked another stupid ape. I should've known. It's not about showing you the universe. It never is. It's about the universe doing something for you.”
Rose asks The Doctor to take her back to November 7th 1987 the day that her Dad died. She wants to be sure he doesn’t die alone like the way he does in the story that Jackie tells. At first Rose gets cold feet and she just watches him die and asks The Doctor if she can try again. Against his better judgment he reluctantly agrees and they go back to that fateful moment. But it doesn’t go as planned.
Rose changes her mind and runs out and saves her father from getting hit by the car that takes his life changing history and making The Doctor extremely angry. The web of time has been affected and serious consequences could happen. The Doctor decides to leave Rose in 1987 but when he gets back to the TARDIS it is nothing but an ordinary Police Box. Something devastating has happened as deadly Reapers start appearing out of nowhere killing people. You see while Pete Tyler lives Earth is destined to be destroyed and The Doctor must come up with a plan to save the Earth from Rose’s stupid mistake at the risk of hurting his young companion.

Doctor Who will be coming to India starting tomorrow May 15th. All eight series will be shown on the India channel FX. Doctor Who has truly become a global success and now the people of India have a lot of Doctor Who to catch up on.

The Doctor, Rose and Adam arrive on Satellite 5 in the year 200,000 which is during The Fourth Great and Bountiful Earth Empire. They do a little bit of exploring and find out that Satellite 5 main job is to send information across the Earth Empire. Lots of stuff goes on in Satellite 5 like how they do the information sending which is pretty strange in itself as the computer is interfaced from a chip they implant in you. The highest upgrade has the info downloaded into your brain directly.

The Doctor and Rose have arrived in an underground bunker near Salt Lake City Utah in the year 2012 where The Doctor discovers that they are in the middle of a museum that has tons of alien artifacts including a Cybermen head. They are soon captured by the guard and taken to Henry van Statten for questioning. During questionng The Doctor discovers that van Statten isn’t interested in the uniqueness of the artifacts but to exploit them and keep them for his collection. It appears he also has a live specimen and The Doctor finds out that he too will be a part of his collection as he is an alien and the last of his race.

“If aliens fake an alien crash and an alien pilot, what do they get? Us. They get us. It's not a diversion, it's a trap.”
The Doctor returns Rose home in which he believes she has been gone for 12 hours which it turns out to be 12 months instead and it caused quite the furor. Jackie was livid as she thought Rose was kidnapped and even went as far as accusing Mickey of murdering her. Needless to say this was not the homecoming that Rose had expected and it was another goof by The Doctor that resulted in all this.
Then all of a sudden an alien ship crashed to Earth hitting Big Ben before crashing into the Thames. This has gotten The Doctor’s spirits up as he now has something to investigate and to get away from the domestics. What he finds is a pig. A normal pig that someone has augmented his mind to make people think it is an alien.

The Unquiet Dead was a Christmas themed Doctor Who adventure that has all the charm of the recent Christmas stories. Even though it wasn’t aired on Christmas Day it sure would have been at home if it was. The story takes place on Christmas Day in Cardiff to the dismay of The Doctor and Rose as they were hoping for Naples instead.

The Doctor takes Rose 5 Billion years into the future at the time when the planet Earth will be destroyed by the expanding sun. They land on a platform that is hosting a viewing party for the death of the Earth hosted by the Face of Boe. There are tons of alien races and Rose is feeling a bit overwhelmed as she walks away to clear her head. The Doctor catches up with her and tells her about the psychic connection she has with the TARDIS that allows her to hear the different alien dialects. When all of a sudden the space station shakes which The Doctor claims should not have happened and goes to see what is happening.
It appears someone has sabotaged the station defenses against the heat and light of the sun and will cause the station to explode when the sun expands. The Doctor with the help of Jabe go and investigate what has happened and find that the to fix the problem they have to reset the shields which happens to be behind a bunch of fan blades. Jabe volunteers to hold the switch to slow the blades down but that act costs Jabe her life as she ends up combusting from the heat but her sacrifice allows The Doctor to save everyone one the station by resetting the shields.
Doctor Who - Out Now 9th Doctor Comic Book Issue One
Out now is the first issue of a five issue mini series starring the 9th Doctor. The story takes place between The Doctor Dances and Boom Town and involves The Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack investigating Time Lord Technology being sold on the black market. Below is a synopsis and a small preview.

Rose is wandering in the cellar of the shop she works at to give Wilson the lottery money. She is having a hard time finding him and she seems to be seeing movement in the corner of her eye. It appears that the shop dummies have come to life and have proceeded to chase her. Rose thinking it is a college prank yells at them to stop it. It appears that the shop dummies are Autons and have every intention of killing her. When out of nowhere a stranger grabs her hand and tells her to run.
