Christopher Eccleston Says No To Doctor Who 50th Anniversary

What isn't "Fantastic" news for Doctor Who fans or for fans of the 9th Doctor it appears that Christopher Eccleston will not be in the 50th Anniversary special.   The BBC has confirmed this with Digital Spy that claims of him not being in the special were true and that claims that he quit during filming were false.  Here is the statement.

"Chris met with Steven Moffat a couple of times to talk about Steven's plans for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode. After careful thought, Chris decided not to be in the episode. He wishes the team all the best."

So it appears that there will not be a 9th Doctor appearance unless it is from clips of one of his stories.

  1. I understand stand him. That is a great photo of him. He is my Doctor Who. I just love him.

  2. I would like to see him come back at some point and while it would have been nice to see him, I can't imagine he would have had much time on screen and it was probably not worth it.
